Origin PC joins the 11-inch, rebadged gaming laptop party, outs the EON 11-S
Last week may have drawn to a close, but the march of Clevo news continues. On the heels of Maingear announcing an 11-inch gaming notebook, Origin PC is throwing its own ultraportable into the ring: the EON 11-S. Though this is a new model for the company (the smallest laptop it's ever sold, in fact), it's not quite fresh to us: this is the same exact Clevo-made notebook Maingear unveiled two days ago, only re-badged under Origin PC's brand and available in a wider range of colors. As far as performance goes, then, that means you can expect Ivy Bridge processors, a 2GB NVIDIA GT 650M GPU, Optimus graphics-switching technology and a battery rated for 6.5 hours of runtime. In Origin PC's case, the laptop starts at $999 (compared with $1,099 for Maingear), though you'll have to head over to Origin's site for a breakdown of what specs you'll be getting at that lower price.

Google MapsGL updates 3D buildings, improves virtual tourism
Google's been spending some quality time with its Maps offering of late. Most recently, it overhauled the 3D buildings and landmarks to make them, well, better. This time, its Maps' juiced up sibling MapsGL that's been feeling the paternal love. The WebGL-based 3D renderings have been the same treatment, making your virtual aerial tours all the more realistic. Now, as you glide over the landscape, your view of the buildings is much more like real life. Or you could just take the lazy tourism one step further. Hit the source for examples.

'Prometheus' Could Land R Rating, Will Be Released 'Uncut' Regardless
'We will stand behind it 100 percent and if that means it's an R, then so be it,' Fox chief Tom Rothman tells MTV News.

Fresh off the release of a visually stunning new "Prometheus" featurette — which we can't stop talking about here at MTV News — comes this excellent tidbit from Fox studio chief Tom Rothman regarding the film's still-to-be-determined rating, which could very likely be an R.
"The rating board has not opined yet and it will go in to the board soon," Rothman told us on the press line for the studio's CinemaCon panel. "This I can tell you and I can tell all the fans, not one frame will be cut. The movie will be what it should be. We will not cut a frame of the film," he promised. "We will stand behind it 100 percent and if that means it's an R, then so be it, because not an ounce, not a percentage are we going to compromise the film."
Rothman went on to say that the film does indeed live up to the hype surrounding it and that he genuinely couldn't wait to see each and every new cut, visual effect and element added to the film during it's post-production.
"When we first saw the movie in 3-D, it's breathtaking," he said. "So I hope [it lives up to the hype]. I think so, I believe so." The excitable studio chief also explained his reasoning behind the title "Prometheus" and why they chose to leave the word "Alien" out of it altogether.
"I think the easy thing would have been to make an 'Alien' prequel and that's where it started as an idea, but it evolved," he said. "Ridley's ideas are much bigger than that and it really is a brand-new film, and this is the man who made 'Blade Runner.' He hasn't made a science-fiction film in 30 years, and to be honest, I didn't want to undersell it. 'Prometheus' is an ambitious title I hope everybody knows — it's the name of the ship in the movie but also [based on] the god who stole fire from the gods and gave it to man and paid a serious price for it, so be careful what you do. The cautionary guy, Prometheus," he joked.
Rothman said "Prometheus" is not just a movie for "Alien" fans. "It's a big, bold new-idea movie and we want it in the title because people know [that] this movie stands on its own," Rothman added. "If you're a fan of 'Alien,' great. But if you're not, it's entirely self-contained and full of new ideas."
Check out everything we've got on "Prometheus."

Walmart's website lets you Pay With Cash, strips away the 'convenience' of shopping online
Here's an idea: order products online, and then pay using regular 'ol dollar bills. Intrigued? That's exactly what Walmart has begun offering on its website today with its new Pay With Cash service. It's no different from initiating a normal web order, save for being another -- and potentially convoluted -- option to hand over your funds and checkout. After selecting PWC, you'll receive an order confirmation, which then allots you 48 hours to print it out and present it your local Wally World. From there, you can choose to pick up the item in store or have it shipped to your house -- in effect, stripping away some of the key conveniences of shopping online in the first place. Of course, one could likely just give their local store a call to place items on hold for a similar result, but hey, more options are always nice, right? At the very least, many without the likes of credit cards and Google Wallets might find some appreciation this method of retail purchasing. Hit up the links below for the all the details.
